Legal
Privacy Policy
Effective August 26, 2026
Mobile Basic publishes reviews and guides about web tools and technology. This policy explains what data may reach us when you use the site.
Information we collect
We do not offer accounts, comments, contact forms, or email lists. If you email editor@mobilebasic.com, we receive the address and message you choose to send.
Hosting and server logs
The site is hosted by Vercel. Vercel may process basic request data, such as an IP address, browser details, requested pages, timestamps, and security signals, to deliver and protect the site.
Cookies and tracking
Mobile Basic does not use its own analytics, advertising pixels, or marketing cookies at launch. Links to other sites may lead to services with their own privacy rules.
Editorial tools and AI assistance
We may use research, editing, and AI-assisted tools to help organize information, check drafts, or create original editorial artwork. A consistent editorial pen name and generated profile image are used for continuity. Product facts and recommendations are checked against current sources, and we do not invent hands-on tests.
Affiliate links
The launch version does not use affiliate tracking. We may add affiliate links later. If that happens, Mobile Basic may earn a commission when a reader buys through a marked link, at no added cost to the reader.
Data retention and choices
Email is kept only as long as needed to answer the message or meet a legal duty. You may ask us to delete an email you sent, subject to any record we must keep by law.
Children
The site is written for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
Changes
We may update this policy when the site or its services change. The effective date at the top will show the latest update.
